Aphids and scale insects are common, persistent, and sometimes key pests of ornamental plants. Most cause damage to host plants by the removal of plant fluid, by the toxic action of their salivary secretions injected during feeding, and by serving as vectors of plant diseases that are harmful to key plants
After completing this course participants will understand how to identify pests, the damage they cause, and IPM strategies for treatment for aphids and scale insects.
This course is approved by the California Department of Pesticide regulation (DPR) for 1 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for license renewal for QAL, Aerial, QAC and PCA licenses.
