Before you can effectively prevent or control rodent infestations, you must first arm yourself with information. Learning about rodent behavior, control materials and treatment tactics is essential to planning an effective strategy for controlling unwanted rats and mice. Rodent control is an important aspect of the pest control industry. Rodents are not only a nuisance, but also are vectors of disease and health issues.

This course is approved by the Washington State Department of Agriculture for Pesticide and SPI License Recertification credits.

This course is approved for 2 hours of either General or Weed hours (2 hours Max).

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will be able to:

  • Basic rodent overview of habits, characteristics, etc.
  • Understand and communicate the reason to control rodents.
  • Establish rodent control programs.
  • Leverage IPM for rodent control.
