This course has been approved by the CA SPCB for 5 total hours of Continuing Education (CEU) units. 1 Hour for Rules and Regulations for all licenses, 4 hours for Tech 3 for FRs and OPRs, or 4 Hours PAU for Applicators.
This course focuses on understanding basic termite biology and characteristics in order to apply treatments, locate infestations, and problem solve challenging treatment situations. Labels are reviewed to help ensure applicators are exposed to different labels and how product information is conveyed for treatments.
Sample treatments are outlined using various products as examples to help in measuring the proper amount to use for treatments.
Tools and methods for drywood and subterranean termites are covered and reviewed to keep the applicator, environment and structure as less exposed to termiticides as possible.
This course is approved for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the California Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) for license renewal. After completing this module, participants will be able to:

- Understand how to address and treat conducive conditions.
- Distinguish basic termite behavior and characteristics.
- Follow and understand termiticide label guidelines.
- Comprehend basic inspection sights and evidence of termite activity to know when and where to treat.
