Weed control is important. Methods include hand cultivation with hoes, powered cultivation with cultivators, smothering with mulch or soil solarization, lethal wilting with high heat, burning, or chemical attack with herbicides and cultural methods such as crop rotation and fallowing land to reduce the weed population. At the completion of this course, participants will have knowledge of the following:

• Managing Turf Weeds.
This course is approved by the Washington State Department of Agriculture for Pesticide and SPI License Recertification credits.
This course is approved for 2 hours of either General or Weed hours (2 hours Max).
